Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine
We use BlackLine to track period-end close tasks, perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts, and maintain an audit trail that is easily accessible and reliable for our auditors. Blackline helps us organize our processes and ensure proper reviews and approvals across all accounting and financial areas.
Pros
- Maintains certification records, clearly showing reviews and approvals of tasks and reconciliations.
- It has multiple reconciliation templates, allowing the user to find the best template for their needs.
- It includes useful metrics and visuals to help the user keep track of their assignments and tasks/reconciliations that are coming due.
Cons
- Make it easier to customize reconciliations and templates to suit the user's needs better.
- Improve the user interface to make it easier to navigate and find the areas you're looking for.
- Make the bank reconciliation matching module more user-friendly. It is difficult to create rules and modify data import without contacting support.
- Implementing bank reconciliation matching has taken more time than expected, creating an additional workload for team members.
- Increased visibility into the team's progress on close tasks and reconciliations, allowing for greater accountability.
- This allows our team to have a one-stop shop for all things close-related, saving us time with fewer status calls, trackers to update, etc.
I have not had enough experience with this partnership to provide feedback.
