Overall Satisfaction with Automox
We patch our over 500 laptops, our 100 servers and 150 vdis.
Pros
- Patch third party software
Cons
- Reporting. In my opinion, it is awful.
- Automox does show the full version number of software, only the major number. If you need to patch any version between 13.12 and 13.14 to 13.15 it does not do that well.
- Decreased the time looking for patches to out of date software.
- Nearly tripled the time it takes to report on patching.
Admin time is freed up to focus on reporting.
Automox has a larger list of 3rd party software that is available. In my experience, Automox does not allow you to browse software looking for updates to apply. In my opinion, the reporting of automox sucks comparatively.
