Overall Satisfaction with Asana
Asana was first introduced to me by a director of another functional area who had used it at a previous job and loved it. Since I was managing the requests for new application acquisition at that point, I got to try it out and see how it worked in action. Our Commercial Partners division currently uses Asana as their primary Project Management application. It is used to ensure that all project management tasks are aligned and everyone knows what they are assigned to accomplish for the said project.
Pros
- Super easy to assign task list items to members of my team.
- Task finished checkmark is a way visual representation of what is done and off your plate.
- Multiple ways to sort the tasks, by date or by priority.
Cons
- Integration: Our company uses Sharepoint, and I wish there was an easy integration for that.
- Customize notification. I wish there was a more detailed way to customize notification for certain projects or tasks.
- Calendar Syncing is really hard to do, especially with team members using a different system.
- Assigning Tasks
- Project Management
- Progress Tracking
- Notification System
- Progress Tracking for Projects is really important for quarterly reports.
- Proper notifications to the concerned party is super helpful to everyone on the team.
- Better Time management - which saves time & energy for everyone.
- Slack, Trello, Cisco Webex Board Series, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams and GoToMeeting
Asana is amazing for a remote team, that we are currently as its accessible seamlessly to all our team member no matter where they are in the world. Its very easy to onboard new members to this platform as its very intuitive and easy for new people to get a hang of it. It has every functionality of a good solid project management tool that you can need to manage a small to medium sized team.
