Overall Satisfaction with Anchor, by Spotify

In my second career as a writer/novelist, I use WordPress as my CMS. Anchor makes it so easy to turn my blog posts into a podcast episode. It is easy to use, has an approachable, intuitive interface for those of us who are not audio engineers, allows for easy editing of the sound file, and has a wealth of stock sounds and music to make the final product sound polished and professional.

Pros

  • Easy-to-use interface
  • Additional resources for polish and professionalism
  • Easy to edit sound files

Cons

  • As with many help systems, the search results can always be more precise to the query. Not a deal-breaker by any means.
  • More guided tutorials to help the new podcaster get going with a little less trial and error.
  • Live chat support would be awesome.
  • Ease of use
  • Help resources that actually answer questions - brilliant.
  • Integration with Spotify for deliver/audience build
  • Too soon to tell - check back in a year.
  • Not looking to immediately monetize - but resources seem to be in place.

For the beginner to intermediate podcaster, this would be my go-to software and deployment recommendation. Those who require a higher level of audio-engineering sophistication may need to supplement with other resources.
