Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

In our organization, Anaplan is used primarily to speed up and improve the accuracy of the S&OP planning process. The result of forecasting is the P&L report which is collected in the FP&A model. Each P&L report line has its own model and its own business function that is responsible for the forecast values. Thus, we have demand planning models - for volume and revenue, a trade investment model, COGS models, an overheads model for planning employee costs, etc.

Pros

  • Real-time data display
  • High performance, which allows deeper granularity
  • Data connection between models and business-functions
  • Rapid development of solutions within the platform

Cons

  • Functionality of "Export" views, I'd like to change the export w/o recreating it
  • Remove functionality of "Maximize" and "Comments" from Text/Actions/KPIs on pages
  • Functionality of multi-selection in the cell (at least as a booleans "Selected" or "Not Selected")
  • Anaplan was named the company's best investment in 2021
  • Demand planning accuracy has been increased by 10%
  • The overall speed of forecast collection has been increased almost 2 times
Anaplan is a platform that can be used for many different purposes. But in almost every case we manage to find a rather elegant solution within the platform. I have been working with Anaplan for over 5 years and during this time I have noticed how it is developing and usually outpacing its competitors.

Analan is great for internal use in a company. I would also recommend using it when the number of users is not very large, access for all employees of the company would be impractical. Anaplan is well suited for financial planning or supply chain. In addition, it can be used in the area of ​​budgeting and personnel costs. I would also recommend using Аnaplan for larger companies. Because they typically need more computing power, established processes, flexibility within those processes, and high speed of implementation. For these conditions, Аnaplan is a great fit.
