Great cloud storage and sharing for small and mid-sized businesses
Overall Satisfaction with Amazon Drive
Once we realized it was included in our Prime membership, we dropped the competition (Dropbox) that we were paying for and started using Amazon Drive. We use it to share files across departments and physical locations, i.e. design files that are used to build new products that can be commonly shared between the design team and the production team.
Pros
- They keep our files secure and safe
- They let us drag and drop our files with ease
Cons
- While it's easy to edit permissions of users, device management isn't as easy as we'd like, and file security is extremely important
- Our files are not ours if we were to ever end our corporate Prime membership
- We've been able to reduce the time to market for new products because of collaboration ease.
- Finding files for meetings has become much easier.
We're already inside the Amazon portal so often for sourcing, the cloud storage was an easy extension. It is included in our Prime membership so it was an easy option. Furthermore, the functionality is beyond simple, helping to sell the software internally and gain support for its adoption. It's easy to access files remotely for quick response times from our staff.
