A great solution for online training and bringing the team together
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Connect
We give Adobe Connect two different uses in our company. One of them is for internal meetings, like webinars for training our sales department, and collaborative presentations. The other scenario in which Adobe Connect fits so well is for remote working. Many of our team members are spread across the country and use it for daily meetings, video calls among our team, and file sharing.
Pros
- Fully customizable. You can choose what portion of the screen you want to share. It has an always growing pack of settings that lets you give an online training the look you want.
- Users can share their screens too.
- Great update frequency. It's always improving and getting new features.
Cons
- Can be very expensive, especially for smaller companies.
- I'd like to be able to play some music in the lobby, I think there's room for improvement there.
- The meeting room can't be seen while sharing the screen without a dual monitor.
- Lots of saving because of switching from in-person meetings to the virtual classroom, so our remote team members don't have to travel.
- Great tool in our case for marketing campaigns, using it to focus on certain products and inviting opinion leaders to an online presentation.
- Faster and more efficient training will improve productivity and achievement of scheduled objectives.
- Skype for Business (formerly Lync)
One of the main differences between Adobe Connect and Skype for Business is that the latter demands a higher bandwidth for decent audio and video quality. The other difference is that Adobe Connect allows me to create reports so I can track all the training or presentations sent to customers and opinion leaders in our market.
