Why we invented WAIR

Greg discussed the problems with sizing in fashion retail.  The Fashion retail industry suffers from $238B of lost profits every year due to poor sizing communication and improper sizing strategies.

This is primarily due to the following:
- 35% of abandoned carts are due to size confusion
- 72% of returns are due to improper size selection
- 90% of shoppers are unlikely to return to a brand where they had a bad first fit experience
- Fashion is one of the leading polluting industries in the world, primarily due to reverse logistics and material, chemical, and product waste (from bad inventory management)

This problem starts with size selection and WAIR was built to solve this problem.

Greg takes us through WAIR's ownership of the largest 3D body scanning network and database in the world (Fit3D).

WAIR asked millions of Fit3D users to capture selfies and answer survey questions and used this enriched data to build 2 body prediction algorithms:
1. Mobile Selfie Body Prediction
2. Survey Body Predictions

WAIR ultimately chose to move forward with survey body predictions because it was accurate, easy to use, and easy to deploy.  

This IP is the foundation of WAIR's technology.
