Our company uses SAP Build for app development and Process Automation. This allows us to create and deploy custom web and mobile applications from an integrated cockpit. We can also create and deploy custom Workflows via Process Automation. These apps are used globally with multiple backend SAP systems, both ECC and S/4.

We use SAP Build is some of our business requirement implementation. One of the challenges we encounter is getting the skill to use the product more often and get most of the business implementation cloud ready and more flexible in the future. Some of our UI implementation uses the SAP Build which is allows multiple users to work on similar projects. This allows more flexibility in terms of sharing different objects that can be re-used for other purpose. Most of the business requirement implementation at the moment was done by contractors due to limited experience and skills using the new application to build different applications as well as resource availability and knowledge sharing around the new tool. Most of the permanent developers have access to SAP learning hub subscription which have been very useful in learning new development skills. Still the challenge is finding the time in doing the courses due to work loads and business as usual support tickets. It is very interesting the see new development tools available and offered by SAP nowadays. So much innovation and available practical solutions are being offered and shared among different user groups and professionals. I look forward to getting more hands on experience and project implementation using SAP Build and other SAP development tools products.

Most of our Fiori applications are done through SAP Build. It suits most of our business requirement implementations because of the flexibility, availability of different objects seen by different users working on the same projects. This allows different developers works independently and share their work when ready to other developers. Using SAP Build seems to be where everyone needs to learn especially for SAP ABAP developer professionals. It has been a challenging tool to learn. But with lots of resources available with SAP user groups and SAP learning website, it really is the development tool of the future. Having all the flexibility and ease of use of different tools to implement new business requirements or legislative changes has been easier than ever. Having the capability of building the CDs views on doing most of the calculation in single place has been very useful.
