It can summarize meetings for me to help me stay on track. it can help layout outlines of plans that I need done. It assists with simple how-tos that are otherwise easy to find, but it can synthesize the steps quickly.

  • Analyze data I have in documents or spreadsheets
  • Craft professional responses based on data

I have found that it may also be very helpful to track who is speaking in a meeting and summarize notes and action steps and to dos. It can be helping make communications.

Microsoft Copilot

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Microsoft Copilot in various departments. For technical departments, it's primarily used to quickly find a specific answer to an IT issue, for analysis, or to provide support for quickly obtaining answers. This saves a tremendous amount of time. Another powerful application is retrieving data from various sources and combining or editing it to achieve the desired end result. This has a wide range of applications, from presentations to technical overviews and everything in between.

Pros

  • Good analysis of the ticket system at the service desk, so that this can be anticipated properly
  • For the management of IT environments, quick examples of scripting for desired solutions
  • For consultants and managers, they co-pilot a technical report into language understandable to a non-technical client, including a visual summary.

Cons

  • There is improvement in approach and integration of external or third-party solutions
  • For administrators, Copilot is sometimes not transparent enough to see exactly what it's doing. There's no real auditing visible at a deeper level.
  • If a whole conversation has already been held with copilot, it can sometimes be difficult or impossible to refer back to it at a later time

Likelihood to Recommend

If I want to generate a document based on input from other documents, Microsoft Copilot can generate it very quickly and efficiently. This saves me a tremendous amount of time. This also applies to building a custom script for the client. Microsoft Copilot can provide valuable tips and input here to achieve this much faster. Where Microsoft Copilot often encounters problems is when an IT environment has a lot of hardware and software solutions from external parties. Microsoft Copilot doesn't have this information and can only provide useful information about the connection to these endpoints, but in terms of configuration or troubleshooting, Microsoft Copilot falls short.

Microsoft Copilot - Not Your Best Employee

Rating: 6 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We attempt to use Microsoft Copilot for everything we possibly can, including the integrated version with all of our M365 products (ie. Teams, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook etc.). We are still testing its limits, so I tend to try lots of things in there from create a poster, to create balanced sales territories in excel based on budgeted sales and geographies of customers.

Pros

  • Summarizing meetings from Microsoft Teams, including action items
  • Suggesting alternate or more professional text in Microsoft Word or Outlook
  • Writing basic code such as SQL or python

Cons

  • Creating a poster or image with text
  • Complicated excel spreadsheet generation, even with the new "think deeply" functionality
  • In my opinion, hallucinations and lies are rampant

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited to meetings, emails, writing such as business cases, and basic chat-bot questions. Complex analysis and asking it to generate new data in Excel seems to be a black hole... you can spend half a day arguing with the thing and it will, in my opinion, lie to you / generate blank spreadsheets and say it's done. The same with poster and marketing materials creation - cannot seem to take direction about changes to the text (ie. larger font, split this line onto two lines etc.).

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it in teams365, Search and direct knowledge issues. Correction of documents and to search on sharepoints in the many documents we have. Besides that in code checking and solutions. Generate functions for coding, automate processes

Pros

  • Searching for most common solutions
  • Correction
  • Find top listings

Cons

  • Circulasation of answers
  • Copy paste solution
  • Tekst handling in images

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited: in correction of documentation, give suggestions of documentation, images, solutions to translate bulk entries. Less suited: finalizing documentation, you always have to check it. Images generation with text, rely on the answers it gives

A lost opportunity.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Microsoft Copilot became the go to tool when using the Microsoft office suite. It helps with Excel spreadsheets and formatting PowerPoints. It is great to automate some functions on outlook and take notes on Teams. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it is not that good for coding anymore. The competition took over and I think Microsoft Copilot is now way behind of other tools from OpenAI, Claude and xAI

Pros

  • Automate Excel spreadsheets
  • Format PowerPoints
  • Automate Outlook

Cons

  • Coding
  • Integration with non-Microsoft tools
  • Better knowledge base

Likelihood to Recommend

In my experience, if you're using within the Microsoft office suite, it has the best integration. The usability is great and the user has to put little effort to get a task done.

On the other hand, in my experience, coding within Visual Code is unreliable and the results are not consistent. You can't use with different programming languages and ask for complex tasks. Pitty because I think the VS integration is great.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It summarizes my email content, helps in designing powerpoint slides, finds error from excel sheet, etc. As a result, it enhances productivity, creativity, and collaboration through AI-powered assistance. It streamlines workflows, automates tasks, and provides data-driven insights, ultimately saving time and improving overall work efficiency.

Pros

  • streamlines workflow
  • summarizes the content
  • finds error
  • boosts productivity

Cons

  • sometimes throws incorrect information
  • does not provide images for the queries
  • costly

Likelihood to Recommend

for day-to-day activities, it works absolutely best to increase productivity and saves a ton of time. However, since occasionally it produces misleading information, nobody can completely rely on it. hence, you need to go through the content each time it produces.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Copilot in Word. It helps us create document drafts. We also use Copilot to create charts in spreadsheets. We like the function "Show data insights" provided by Copilot to finish the task in a table. We are exploring its use in creating PPT slides and composing emails.

Pros

  • Write document drafts.
  • Finish the tasks listed in a table.
  • Write emails and reply emails.

Cons

  • The document of the use of Copilot is weak.
  • Copilot Deployment Kit is not written clearly.
  • The integration of Copilot on MS Office is not perfect.

Likelihood to Recommend

We use MS Office every day, and Copilot helps us with our daily tasks, saving a lot of time, even though it's not perfect.

Copilot changes the game with room to improve

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Copilot has many instances: Free, Premium, and Agents. We are using the premium and agents, so my review will cover these aspects. We use Copilot to connect to all the Microsoft 365 applications to help understand the organisation, find content that's relevant to our project work, and creating content for various purposes. We also use it across Power BI, Excel, and other power applications to help development tasks. We also use Copilot agents for specific special audiences and tasks.

Pros

  • Create custom chatbot agents
  • Native support for all M365 applications
  • Finding content and answering questions with organisational context
  • Developing content with organisational context

Cons

  • Integration with other data sources
  • Incompatibility with custom SharePoint modules
  • Bias to surface content from documents, over SharePoint sites

Likelihood to Recommend

The premium version of Copilot is fantastic, seriously helping with the heavy lifting of analysing, drafting and improving written content. It connnects across the Microsoft 365 suite of online applications, surfacing information to help it answer questions about the organisation and/or to provide context to develop content for a specific purpose.

It has some limitations caused by incompatible architecture in SharePoint, and often seems to be biased towards surfacing information from documents instead of SharePoint sites.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have Copilot enabled in all MS O365 products and therefor its usage is quite extensive. Here are few of the most frequent and useful utilizations of Copilot that I'm aware about:

- In Teams meetings it is extremely to have Copilot prepare a session transcript, meeting minutes, next steps and recognize speech by person.

- In Outlook, I frequently rely on Copilot to provide alternative ways to write my business emails or proof read them.

- The Copilot image creation is very accurate and useful to customize my PowerPoint presentations.

Pros

  • Capture Teams Meeting minutes and summarize action items
  • Generate custom wallpapers, logos and other images based on personal requirements
  • Provide alternative wording of email content
  • Create interesting daily insights around my business activities

Cons

  • In Excel, Copilot is not accurately understanding my requirements and therefor is not recommending the correct formula for my needs
  • In Teams, language recognition is not very accurate, especially if the language is not supported by Copilot
  • Copilot frequently makes mistakes in data analysis and insights across more than 3 excel sheets

Likelihood to Recommend

I highly recommend its usage in Teams meetings to prepare a session transcript, meeting minutes,

next steps and recognize speech by person. Also within the meeting recording, there is separation between the people talking at the time.

The Copilot image creation is very accurate and useful to

customize my PowerPoint presentations and other documents.
