Google Vault is being used in one of our research sectors, along with G-suite applications. This has provided us with great efficiency in data archiving, and organizing required data for specific clients. We have a highly secure environment for storing confidential data. We have eliminated the burden of storing data in on-premise servers with high-security maintenance.
  • Highly secure data storage.
  • Good amount of features when integrated with G-apps
  • Has a high storage capacity to store organisation data.
Cons
  • Budget is a concern for big enterprises.
  • Technical knowledge is mandatory to use all the features.
  • Advanced integrations with 3rd party apps is required more for customer satisfaction.
It has a free version which can be tried for personal users, from an enterprise point of view, the budget is a little bit high. But as usual with Google services, we can expect the same transparency in the Vault service and is extremely trustworthy to implement in any organization irrespective of any parameters.
  • Almost all the confidential enterprise details are stored.
  • Data privacy and security is guaranteed.
  • Ease of use for the end users as well as managers to effectively access data.
  • Reduced overhead of file storage server on on-premise servers.
  • Separate security appliance cost is considerably reduced.
  • Sysadmins could concentrate more on other services and completely could trust Vault services.
Google Vault has an advanced and secure way of storage, and access restrictions for different levels of employees thereby creating more impact on the cloud users.

A very secure platform that integrates with other Google tools and makes it simple and straightforward to retain data. I use it for emails, team drives, documents, etc. Searching for your data/docs is fairly simple, not the easiest but simple, and allows you to efficiently store it all in one place.
  • Saves files in email and Google Drive
  • Search feature
  • Organization
Cons
  • Export feature- took me a while to figure this out to the point where I could be efficient with it.
  • Searching can be confusing at times- again, takes time until you can get efficient.
  • Not the best for confidential material.
Really helpful to export data from Gmail and others- makes it simple to store it when you don't have enough storage elsewhere. Searching can be confusing and to my knowledge, you aren't able to export data efficiently so it's not the best for that. Can be difficult to pick up from the start, aka I don't think the user interface is the best in my opinion.
  • Email retention
  • Search feature
  • Positive ROI- able to conveniently store and access files/data that otherwise would not have been as organized. Not only makes my day more efficient but leads to a better client experience.
  • Organized storage.
  • Easy interface once you get used it it- give it about a month.
