Likelihood to Recommend Tebra Technologies, Inc (Kareo + PatientPop)
In my experience, problems with them adding incorrect fees to pad their bills coupled with their unethical business practices such as locking you out from accessing your EMR at the drop of a hat prevent me from recommending Kareo to any practice. Reliability is paramount. Kareo's use of unethical business practices (locking you out from your EMR or disabling your EMR all together) can result in a physician being sanctioned by the medical board (inappropriate medical record keeping) or financially destroy a small practice leaving them with NO ACCESS to their ERAs/patient billing accounts etc leads me to NOT reccomend their products or doing business with them.
Read full review Carelogic EHR, by Qualifacts is the second scheduling software my company has used, and so long as there are no unfortunate changes it will be our last. It is user friendly, meaning that it is easy to train employees in, and is well organized. The simple interface takes out much of the guess work.

Kareo stays up to date on insurance changes which allow for smooth transitions. Kareo asks for feedback and has a place to go and request changes or additions that would make our job easier. I love that you can submit a help ticket or call, if you prefer, with any questions or problems that you may have. They are always very prompt with their follow up. I've spent hours on the phone discussing various issues with regards to data variance between two different source documents within the software. At one point, I could not reconcile the A/R balance on one of the dashboards to the A/R balance pulled from the Excel add-in. Unfortunately, their support teams were not able to help out with this. The Excel add-in falls short in a few key areas. Specifically, they do not provide a simple method of joining data fields from the "charges," "payments," and "transactions" tables. One is left to attempt to join the data sets via VLOOKUP or INDEX(MATCH). At times, we have had issues with the API providing information that would not tie out to figures reported elsewhere within the software. Unfortunately, their support teams were not able to help out with this. Read full review It is difficult to obtain information from CareLogic for use in customized reports if the user is not familiar with building reports in Pentaho. Rather than having the capability to transmit electronic prescriptions on its own, CareLogic relies on an external program to do so. Prescribers must exit out of the document they are in so that they can access the external electronic prescription system. This system has an additional cost. It would be nice if it could be an all in one system. While the company is usually eager to respond to customer needs, something always seems to be broken or need updating in regards to functionality. This may be a function of our agency's location and the unusual needs we have due to our state mandates, but it is tiring to always have to worry about a workaround. The rating of "3" represents CareLogic's quick loading of pages, however, the reports are super slow and there is no progress bar or notification to let you know if a report is running or not. I've let a report run for an hour before only to find out that the interface never registered my click to run the report.

The customer support at Qualifacts is great. When you have an issue you can submit a ticket to support and they're on top of getting things straightened out and always available by phone as well. The struggle with the overall support is it doesn't seem like the needs of the users are heard. When you ask for what should be a simple fix or something that seems the system is missing, it gets labeled an Enhancement Request which is where requests go to pasture.

We are much happier with Kareo than Compulink. The software as a service makes it easy to manage claims from multiple locations when I cannot be on site. The reports and all other aspects I have mentioned as distinct to Kareo. We had a very hard time tracking things with Compulink.
Read full review CareLogic is more a affordable that other competitors. CareLogic takes less time to understand and incorporate. I would say that it has its limitations and is not as intuitive. There is a lot of clicking back and forth between functions and can be annoying. There is also sometimes loss of data. If something goes wrong in the program there is no backup- this may be something that can be added, but my company has chosen not to

Kareo had an overall low return on investment. Despite the software being active at our company, we were forced to transition to a different solution within 6-months of implementation. The time spent attempting to reconcile the system to itself was rather wasteful. Read full review No more paper records. Prescriptions never get lost. Staff have many complaints about work flow.
