Overall Satisfaction with ThoughtSpot
We are using the ThoughtSpot embedded product to build out our B2B marketing revenue attribution product called Cortex.
- Embedding reports into a multi tenant SaaS product
- Creating custom dashboards
- Data exploration via natural search
- Ability to build a single dashboard tile containing the main value, a sparkline, and a percent change over time
- Easy way to build a user experience that allows for selecting different metrics to trend from a drop-down on a multi-axis graph
- Time to market ROI is massive vs hiring the full-time dedicated team to build and maintain a frontend multi-tenant SaaS data viz product.
- It will be interesting to see over time how the advanced features play out in terms of usability and end value, such as Natural Search, which we are very excited about, and the machine learning tools.
It depends on the out-of-the-box product. We are building on top of ThoughtSpot very quickly as we are hiding many of the ThoughtSpot features. I would say it's taken our team a few weeks to get a pretty decent handle on all of the foundational ThoughtSpot features. We have not explored Natural Search a ton or worked with the machine learning capability. Our team is very experienced with Tableau and other BI tools, so our ramp time would be faster than those who do not have these skills.
So far so good!
We use Google Big Query. Getting ThoughtSpot hooked up to it was a snap.
We liked the support we were getting in the sales process (this has continued to be fantastic), I personally knew several people in the company. In the pilot we ran, our devs enjoyed working with ThoughtSpot.
