Overall Satisfaction with Planview ProjectPlace
We currently use Project Place in connection with PPM Pro to track medium to large IT Projects, ranging from software development to infrastructure. Our teams track sprints or milestones, enter their tasks, points, or sizes, and track deadlines and dependencies. We also track in Project Place, related to PPM Pro, the time spent on tasks and team velocity.
- Document management.
- Ease of access via web interface.
- Board visualization.
- Team sharing of information.
- Ability to track RAID and integrate with other tools.
- Boards need additional work (see Agile place boards for reference).
- Automation of tasks is only for basic tasks.
- Reporting inside the project place is very basic. Need the ability to customize widgets within the tool.
- 60% of our new projects run in Project place.
- Planview ProjectPlace
Both Planview Project Place and Planview PPM Pro have their own strengths. We use both; PPMPro is our portfolio tool, while Project Place is a project delivery application.
