Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID
We use Microsoft Entra for Hybrid cloud functionality. Our local domain syncs with Microsoft services for email and applications
- Syncing accounts
- Provisioning account
- Providing a hybrid envionment
- The interface could be better.
- Reporting is not very reliable and leaves off important information
- Consistency is lacking as Microsoft has changed Azure and Entra multiple times.
- Less passwords to manage
- Pretty reliable
- Frustrations in reporting
We have both an onsite server running the cloud provisioning agent and cloud identities. Our onsite server syncs with the Entra ID to provide single sign on for Microsoft services. This allows us to use a single password for signing in to on premise resources as well as cloud resources such as Sharepoint, Onedrive and the cloud applications.
We have not configured Entra ID for non microsoft applications.
None
There have been some changes since they moved from Azure AD. There are inconsistencies in the interface from what we were originally familiar with in Azure AD. Microsoft has changed the location of several items and we have been overall disappointed with the transition and functionality of Entra ID all together.
Microsoft seems to be the better service for cloud identity syncing and is still a leader in this realm. Their service is reliable, and we use it with all of our clients. Compared to Okta, the cost is more affordable and they include a lot of services in the Microsoft licensing plans. This makes it the better option for most cases.
