Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft BI
Microsoft BI is used in our organization for data analysis and reporting. I used it as a part of marketing live dashboard implementation. It is really a great tool for visualization and customization of views. It's useful in making decisions based on live data and we connect Google Analytics data.
- I like how the dashboard is customizable to your own preference.
- Its a Microsoft tool so it works perfectly with Excel.
- It's an easy to learn and use tool with minimal training required.
- The mobile app works perfectly with the dashboard view of your data.
- More training resources for new users.
- Better integration with SRSS.
- I feel it still has a long way to go as far as Tableau is considered.
- I would say making work easier for internal marketing reports is a great time saving activity in which Microsoft BI excels. Instead of downloading data manually from various sources, it integrates live data from applications.

Microsoft BI is very well suited to implement reporting and visualization within departments. Choosing Microsoft BI over tools like Tableau is the variety of third party apps it extracts data from. This functionality is limited in Tableau as it digests data from large data sources like SQL etc.
Especially for marketing departments where data is coming from social media campaigns, email campaigns, and other campaigns, BI handles it all very well.
