Overall Satisfaction
- Simple email marketing for small businesses
- Great for the SMB that needs email marketing but can't afford a Marketing Automation Platform (MAP)
- Integration with Salesforce is pretty good
- Well, it's not a MAP, so if you want to do anything targeted it's all manual
- They are super strict about uploading lists, and if you upload too many people at one time or give the list a name they deem to be suspicious, they'll suspend your account almost immediately
- The last time I used Constant Contact, there had been no email marketing for at least a year. So even reintroducing email marketing helped to drive engagement.

Evaluation and Selection
iContact
Constant Contact and Vertical Response were on my shortlist. Ultimately I chose Constant Contact because of budget and functionality.
Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Training
- Self-taught
I love learning new things, and I pick up programs fairly easily. I tend to be self-taught, but what works for me won't always work for someone else. That being said, Constant Contact isn't exactly the most complicated program in the world, so I think that for most people a self-taught approach could work very well.
