Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense

We use AlphaSense primarily to aggregate, categorize, sort, and prioritize incoming news/PR/sell-side notes/etc. Lately have been also using it more and more for our lookback searches too and starting to play with the integrations in the hope of fixing our SharePoint woes. We probably use it overall less than BamSEC or Bloomberg or just Google search, but it meets the use case of being able to feed different sources and filter by source, theme, keywords, etc.

  • Fixing our unorganized SharePoint (just connect to SharePoint and search on AlphaSense)
Completely logical and intuitive UI. No need to learn a coding language like with Bloomberg. The perfect combination of easy enough and precise enough
Rather than changing how we perform on that task (huge part of our job) it's instead freed us to also devote time and attention to other stuff.

Before AS, keeping tabs on our space was a full time job. Now we get to do our full time jobs (where keeping up to date is necessary but by no means sufficient)
They are all unique and we actually still use them all. But if we had to pick one (minus the obvious lack of financial data...) it's AlphaSense because of how much easier it is to use. The others are worse at getting documents and even snippets Out, and then have much worse markup/bookmark, etc capabilities

the only game in town for its specific ideal use cases When you have to integrate and sift through textual information from various sources there is really no other choice. We use it to keep on top of analyst notes, company PRs, news, SEC filings, other regulators, patents, clinical trials, lawsuits, and the like

  • We hope that since they bought teneo they eventually will merge financial data with their amazing contextual doc search
No brainer - this will stick around forever like bbg Terminal
